Since 1996 I have regularly travelled to countries in eastern and southern Africa. I was fortunate to be able to gather my first professional experience on this continent by working for one of the most noted luxury incoming agencies with operation in eastern and southern Africa. During these 2˝ years in sales and marketing for the German speaking market, I was not only able to acquire sustainable product knowledge, but was also able to see behind the curtain of the tour operating business at the same time. Subsequently I joined a tour operator who specialised in Africa and was mainly responsible for building up and expanding the product portfolio for eastern Africa. I was consequently called into the wide ‘African’ world, where I lived and worked in various camps, firstly in Zimbabwe and there after in Kenya. Equipped with this knowledge, I in February 2001 founded Bush Legends. Since then the company has constantly developed. We grow with our consistent challenges and are proud of satisfying the highest quality pretensions in the organisation of discerning and tailor made journeys to Africa.

Tour Consultant Eastern Africa

I joined Bush Legends as a Tour Consultant in September 2004. Since then I have very much enjoyed this interesting and eclectic challenge. During various journeys to Africa, especially to Eastern Africa, I have gained well-founded product knowledge, which is constantly being updated by regular product educational trips to our destinations. I especially take pleasure in sharing this knowledge with our valued clients to organise their tailor made travel arrangements according to the specific requirements. It gives me great joy to contribute in realising the respective dream journey in Africa. In May 2011 I moved to Berlin for personal reasons and today’s technology enables me to work for Bush Legends as usual, just with the little difference, that I now do it from my Home Office. Tour Consultant Southern Afrika

I was born in South Africa and also grew up there. After school I had the opportunity of living and working in Germany for 12 years, during which time I also successfully finished my studies in Tourism Management. After graduation in 2005 I was very fortunate to be able to start my career with Bush Legends. I really take pleasure in creating individual and high quality itineraries in Africa, a continent that is close to my heart, for our clients. Since October 2008 I have moved back to my home country South Africa with a small family of my own and am still, thanks to modern technology, a part of the Bush Legends Team.

Africa means to me: Contrast in every sense, warmth, colours, friendliness, space, contemplation, time and of course home country.
