A visit to Okonjima gives you an opportunity to witness some of the important work of AfriCat to protect the endangered species. Okonjima is located about halfway between Windhoek and Etosha National Park, slightly south of Otjiwarongo.

This grand African Villa is a perfect ‘ Home far away from Home’, which was completed in 2006. The exclusive villa can purely be booked on private basis and consists of 4 en-suite suites. All rooms have a king-size bed, air-conditioning and heating facilities, a roof fan, bath, as well as inside and outside shower, a glass-panelled door that can fold away to give panoramic views, a safe and wireless internet access.

The Main House also features a comfortable sitting area with a cosy fire place, a long dining table, a large terrace with an outside fire place, a sala as well as an infinity swimming pool overlooking a natural waterhole. Your personal chef creates gourmet masterpieces in the private kitchen of the villa. Okonjima Villa is the ideal base for a group of friends or a family and can accommodate a maximum of eight adults and four children. A personal host, chef, a private guide and safari vehicle are available at guest’s discretion.

A minimum stay of 3 nights is strongly recommended to get an idea of the AfriCat Foundation and to have the possibility to participate in some of the various activities. You have the chance of close encounters with cheetah and to learn more about these elegant and endangered predators. There are also leopard, wild dog, hyena, lion as well as kudu, giraffe, zebra, oryx and many other species on the approx. 20.000 ha nature reserve, which can be observed. Very interesting is the visit of the AfriCat Veterinary Clinic as well as informative bushman trails. All in all, you can obtain wonderful and at the same time sustainable safari experiences on Okonjima, which for sure also remain in your memory for a long time. You certainly also have time to relax in complete privacy at your suite or on the terrace with your private pool and sun chairs. All this takes place in the middle of this beautiful savannah bushveld and the mountain chain in the backdrop.

[vc_empty_space height=”10px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”column220″ width=”1/3″][vc_images_carousel images=”1376,1378,1380,1382,1386,6539″ img_size=”full”][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text]

Mushara Outpost

[/vc_column_text]
MORE INFO

Close

Mushara Outpost

Etosha National Park, Namibia

www.musharaoutpost.com

Mushara Outpost is situated approx. 10 km east of the ‘Von Lindequist’ entrance gate on the eastern side of the Etosha National Park.

This beautiful safari camp offers 8 tents with structures of wood and canvas, each with en-suite bathroom nestling along the banks of an ancient dry river bed. The furnishing of the tent is minimal, comfortable and has a light feel to it.

On the early morning and late afternoon game drives, guests experience a fascinating perspective of wildlife in the famous Etosha National Park. All game drives take place in an open safari vehicle with a professional guide, who gladly shares his or her knowledge with the guests. Should you be booked on a self drive programme, we still recommend you book at least one or two guided game drives in addition, in order to actually experience a proper safari with professional input on the animals and sceneries.

The traditional fire place creates the perfect safari atmosphere each and every evening under the star studded sky of Africa.
