In February 2001, Ellen Spielberger fulfilled a dream by founding Bush Legends.
Our small team consists of 2 dedicated women. What unites us is our fascination with this magnificent continent. We regularly visit destinations in person to ensure we incorporate the latest developments into our travel arrangements. Besides numerous travelling, we have also lived in Africa. Another cornerstone of our work is a well-maintained network of local service providers. We know our partners in Africa personally. They are aware of our high expectations and provide the necessary attention to detail. For flights within Africa, we work with carefully selected regional airlines. To provide best possible consultation, each of us also specialises in specific countries.

AFRICA MEANS TO ME: Inspiration, happiness, energy, beauty, tranquillity, space, dreams, nature, fascination as well as enormous contrasts.
Since 1995 I have regularly travelled to countries in Eastern and Southern Africa. I was fortunate to gather my first professional experiences on this continent by working for one of the most noted luxury incoming agency with operation in Eastern and Southern Africa. During these 2½ years in Sales and Marketing for the German speaking market, I was able to acquire sustainable product knowledge and to see behind the curtain of the tour operating business at the same time. Subsequently I joined a tour operator who specialised in Africa and was mainly responsible for building up and expanding the product portfolio for Eastern Africa. Consequently, I was called into the wide ‘African’ world, where I lived and worked in various camps, firstly in Zimbabwe and thereafter in Kenya. Equipped with this knowledge, I founded Bush Legends in February 2001. Since then, the company has constantly developed. We consistently grow with our challenges and are proud of satisfying the highest quality requirements in the organisation of discerning and tailored journeys to Africa.

I have been a part of the Bush Legends team since September 2004 and have very much enjoyed this interesting and eclectic challenge. During various journeys to Africa, especially to Eastern Africa, I have gained well-founded product knowledge, which is constantly being updated by regular product educationals to our destinations. I especially enjoy sharing this knowledge with our valued clients to organise the tailored travel arrangements according to their specific requirements. It gives me great pleasure to contribute in realising dream journeys in Africa. In May 2011 I moved to Berlin for personal reasons and today’s technology enables me to work for Bush Legends as usual, just with the little difference, that I now do it from my home office.
